Terms and Conditions

Below are the terms and conditions relating to current competitions offered by the Numberwise company:

Championship Prize - South Africa 2012

  1. The winners as announced on the Numberwise website will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  2. The competition is open to only those students registered under a Numberwise adiministrator account from South Africa. Prizes will only be awarded to bona fide South African citizens.
  3. The first name and surname of the student must closely resemble that on the student's birth certificate. Prizes will not be awarded to students who use aliases or pseudonyms or single names or initials, for example, JJ, John, Guest User, Donald Duck and so on.
  4. With regard to (2) and (3) above, should the Numberwise company require it for verification purposes, the administrator must provide a certified copy of the student's birth certificate or South African identity book within 20 days of such a request. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and the prize will not be awarded.
  5. The closing date for the competition is at midnight on the 31st December 2012.
  6. The competition is open to students of all ages.
  7. The prize will be paid out to the administrator who in turn is responsible for delivery to the winning student in full and within a reasonable period.
  8. The Numberwise company will attempt to contact the administrator of the winning student by email, telephone and cell phone. It is the responsibility of the administrator to keep these records up to date. If, after 30 days from the date of the closing of the competition, the Numberwise company is unable to contact the administrator, the awarding of the prize will fall away.
  9. The winner must consent to have his/her name and photo published in the general media.
  10. The Championship Prize will be awarded to the student who achieves the fastest time for a "200 Challenge" in The Challenge section of Numberwise during 2012. In the event of a tie, the prize will be awarded to the student who first achieves the fastest time.
  11. The Championship Prize will be a "Canon Powershot A800" digital camera.
  12. The Numberwise company reserves the right to pay out a monetary equivalent of the "Canon Powershot A800" digital camera worth R700.
  13. Monetary prizes will be paid using FNB's eWallet system which requires payment to a valid South African cellphone number. The recipient does not have to be a client of FNB.
  14. The "Canon Powershot A800" digital camera may differ in appearance and specification to that which appears in the slides when logging on to use Numberwise.
  15. During the year the Numberwise company reserves the right to change or add to the prizes on offer. However, the monetary value of the upgraded prizes will not be less than the initial prize offered.
  16. The Numberwise company cannot be held liable for any loss due to malfunction on the Numberwise server.

100 Club Annual Prize - South Africa 2012

  10. The 100 Club Annual Prize will be awarded to the student whose name is randomly selected from a list of daily winners in the South African category. Daily winners are randomly selected from a list of students who have completed 100 or more calculations in a day. Entry is automatic. The winner of the annual prize must have completed 5,000 correct calculations during 2012.
  11. The 100 Club Annual Prize will be a "Blackberry 8520 Smartphone".
  12. The Numberwise company reserves the right to pay out a monetary equivalent of the "Blackberry 8520 Smartphone" worth R1500.
  13. Monetary prizes will be paid using FNB's eWallet system which requires payment to a valid South African cellphone number. The recipient does not have to be a client of FNB.
  14. The "Blackberry 8520 Smartphone" may differ in appearance and specification to that which appears in the slides when logging on to use Numberwise.
